Pittsburgh Pics

I just posted a few pictures taken yesterday on my brief venture outside. It was a beautifully sunny day and in the 40's, so I took a short break from working on the Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival web site to take a walk along the river.

I'm trying out a new feature this morning which allows you (I hope) to just click on the title of this journal entry to go directly the pictures. Of course you can always use the Photographs link in the upper left of this page and get there as well.

Wow Dan! You really have an artistic eye! You should enter your pics in some sort of contest!

Thanks Lori. Photography is a stress reliever for me as it causes me to slow down. I can't seem to grasp what it is about a scene that captivates me when I'm in a hurry.

I've taken many pictures that weren't able to recreate whatever it was that initially caught my eye so I continue to try and find a physical focal point that is triggering some mental focal point. It's like trying to determine what it is about something I'm seeing that brings me joy. The more I learn about what it is that pleases my eye, the easier it is to find that in any scene. I hope that makes sense. I think if there was any sort of competition, or necessity to profit from it, I'd cease to enjoy it.

Maybe you will find joy and stress relief in taking pictures of the amish horses and buggies while in town! It's definately a slower less hurried lifestyle here!See you soon!
