Successful Delivery!

(Dr.) Jerry Read Smith successfully delivered my baby Monday night. Weighing in at 17lbs., 4oz., I probably won't give it a name but I'll do my best to give it a voice.

Playing this new instrument is a delight and it is fertile ground for growing new songs. I hope to post an audio sample later this afternoon.
Comments:
Oooooohhhhhh! Wowee Wow Wow! I'm reminded of that snake with the swirling eyes (from Jungle Book)! You just kinda stare at it in awe! I know you will have lots of fun with your new toy! Can't wait to hear it!!!

Thanks Lori. It doesn't look like I'll get a sound sample up today. I'll try again in the morning. This instrument has a lot to say!

Is the bass bridge really on the right?

I meant the extra bass bridge.

Yes, it really is on the right. It really makes a lot of sense for a right hand dominant player.

Awesome! But did you know your other pages, like the Calendar and Festival, aren't working?

I know, I know. I mean, thanks. Soon, I promise.

No problem, I know your new instrument puts everything on the back burner for awhile. Enjoy it!

Okay fine. This is the last straw. I guess now I'll have to grit my teeth and endure the couple hours it'll take to download Quicktime.

At least then I'll also be able to watch and hear the hi-def clip Cornell made with my tune "Third Street Market."

It looks too pretty to take out and gig (like me). Do you see yourself gigging out on it or is this going to be a home/recording studio ax?

Are you going to mount this on your portable marching rig?

Brad,

I hadn't thought of that. It only weighs a few pounds more than the Russel Cook Soprano I had on their so I'll give it a try. I won't be able to use the dampers though. Unless I hook the cabling up to my jaw. . . . hmmmm There's an idea.

I used 'their' instead of 'there' in my previous post. I with 'they're' was a way to fix that. :-)
