Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival Web Site

We're almost ready to put the Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival Web site on line, but almost means it's not quite done yet. Stay tuned, we're working on it amid dozens of other fun and time consuming projects.


In my last post regarding the festival I mentioned a surprise. Since it is taking longer that I thought it would to get the web site up I'll just spill some of the beans now.

The suprise involves the Saturday night concert, 6/24/06. The first is the debut of my new jazz trio, shown here.

We'll be introducing an album's worth of new material that we've been working on for several months.

I'm joined by Steve Philips on piano and Alan Shikoh on guitar. These guys are great musicians and together we are writing some of the most rewarding music I've ever attempted. This music is forcing me to approach my hammer dulcimer in new ways and our twice-a-week practice sessions are challenging, but incredibly fun. We're getting close to posting some sample audio clips to give you a taste of what's to come.
