Dan's in West Virginia
Dan's teaching at the Augusta Heritage Festival this week in Elkins, WV. The beautiful hills offer plenty of exercise, but little cell phone reception. There are also few locations and little time for internet access. So, let me give you an update.Dan and I worked furiously on the Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival website, hoping to have it up before Dan left, but to no avail. If he has time this week, he'll finish it up, but don't hold your breath! Designing anything always takes longer than you think.
For now, let me give you the basic information you need to start planning a trip to Chattanooga.
The dates are June 23-25, 2006.
The location is the same as last year, the Mountain Arts Community Center (MACC) in Signal Mtn. TN.
Workshops start at 9:00am Friday and end around 5:00pm. Same time Saturday.
Friday night's concert will be at the MACC. Saturday night's concert will be at the Signal Mtn. Presbyterian Church and will be recorded for a DVD.
Sunday morning we'll tour the TN Aquarium, enjoy a concert in the auditorium, then street perform out on the plaza.
The cost is the same as last year, only better. All workshops, both concerts, and aquarium ticket for $150. One-day workshops and one concert ticket is $100.
Lunch at the MACC will be sub sandwiches ordered in for $5, both Friday and Saturday.
Snacks and drinks available throughout the day are free.
You can stay at the Marriott Courtyard in downtown Chattanooga for $119 a night, $99 for Sunday night. Tell them you're here for the Dulcimer Festival when you register. If everyone stays downtown, you can get together for dinner or share a ride to the Festival, only 15 minutes away.
You can register by emailing me. I can either send you a pay pal bill or you can mail a check.
If you have questions please write.
Thanks,
Angie

Thanks Angie and Dan for working so hard for the enjoyment of others. I look forward to this festival more than the first one.
