Let Summer Begin

If you're going to be in Chattanooga for the Memorial Day weekend come down to the Tennessee Aquarium and say Hello! My street performance season officially kicks off this Friday under the arches, or the big tent if it is raining, at the TN Aqaurium. I'll be there Friday through Monday for the long holiday weekend.

It will also be the first public place where you can pick up my newest CD "Landrum and Humphries". I hope to have them available on this web site soon!

Festival Update

We're so excited to be receiving a steady flow of registrations. It'll be interesting to see who comes from the farthest away this year. So far, we have students coming from AR, AL, OH, IL, KS, TN, CO, and CA. I guess it'd be pretty hard to beat California, but we welcome someone to try!

For those of you paying with a check, please make it payable to Angie Landrum, not the Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival. Thanks. I'll make that more clear on the next batch of registration forms I print.

Dan is working on the Festival website at this very moment, so check there later today for changes. He's also putting up samples of the new "Landrum Humphries" CD.

Besides Festival planning, we've been busy booking gigs for the month of September. (all summer weekends are already booked up). Dan will be teaching and performing at the Upper Potomac Dulcimer Festival in WV Sep. 8-10. He will be teaching a workshop for a dulcimer club near Chicago on Sep. 17. In between there, he'll be performing at a couple places near Columbus, OH and may do a concert in South Bend, IN. We may also tack on a short tour with his new trio band the first week of Sep. in the Asheville, NC and southern VA area. We'll give you more information about each of these events as the details are nailed down.

So, if you're in the vicinity of any of these events, come see us!
